Increasing the efficiency of corn rotation on rice land

Dan Viet – Corn has an important position after rice. Currently in the Mekong Delta, corn is rotated on rice fields to reduce the pressure of producing a lot of rice with unstable prices, while there is a shortage of animal feed and more than 3 billion USD/year must be imported.

Hybrid corn for livestock is a high-yielding plant, so it is "voracious" and can absorb a large amount of fertilizer. However, fertilizing corn must be based on economic efficiency, so the recommended fertilizer level is (150 - 180kg N) + (70 - 100kg P2O5) + (30 - 90kg K2O)/ha. If you want to achieve higher productivity, the fertilizer level can be increased as follows: (200 - 300kg N) + (150 - 200kg P2O5) + (100kg K2O)/ha. It is necessary to balance NPK fertilizer, fertilize sufficiently and correctly.
